The Textured Aluminium finish is the most honest and raw expression of the Fluid series. By intentionally skipping the smoothing stage, we leave the "grain" of the sand-casting process fully visible across the surface. This finish celebrates the industrial birth of the object, showcasing the granular skin and organic cooling marks of the molten metal. It is a rugged, tactile choice for those who value the unrefined beauty of the foundry and the story of how an object is made.

A Study of Captured Motion

The Fluid Bowl is an exercise in captured dynamics. Its form—defined by an irregular perimeter and three distinct, shallow recesses—echoes the unpredictable behavior of molten metal hitting a surface. It is a sculptural object that blurs the line between a functional vessel and decorative art, designed to break the rigid lines of traditional interiors with its freeform energy.

Each piece is individually cast in our Polish foundry using traditional sand-molding techniques. This artisanal process ensures that no two bowls are identical; the subtle porous marks and textural variations are not imperfections, but the fingerprints of the craft. With its significant weight and permanent presence, the Fluid Bowl is designed to hold the eye as much as it holds daily essentials, acting as a small-scale architectural anchor for any surface.

Product details

The products of cast aluminium have small marks and variations from the casting process, therefore small holes and unevenness might occur. The surface is left raw and brushed to remove irregularities while preserving the unique cast imperfections, adding an authentic and textured appeal.

Production method

The product is made by sand casting - pouring molten aluminium into sand moulds. As a result, surfaces may feature subtle irregularities and tiny porous imperfections, which are inherent to this method. There may be slight differences between products in terms of texture and colour, which is not a defect in the product. The product's surface reflects the natural structure of the casting.

Care & Maintenance

Wipe with a soft dry or moist cloth. Do not leave the surface wet. Do not use any abrasive cleaning tools or strong cleaning agents such as household glass cleaner, white spirit, or turpentine. The product comes covered in special hydrophobic coating. To maintain the item in good condition we recommend renewing the coating once a year.
